Our client has a current requirement for a Systems Engineer or Telecoms Engineer with experience of defining LTE Systems requirements.
Job Description
A great vacancy has opened for a Systems Design Engineer to work for a leading Telecommunications design company in the London area. This Systems Design Engineer role will be working on a number of new programmes and products being developed for both the UK and international markets. In particular you will define high level requirements, research background information, design a solution and specify to such a level of detail that engineers and in both hardware and software are capable of realizing the design in an efficient manner.
Requirements & Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this role
- Specifying Layer 1 aspects associated with UE and base station
- Specifying and interpreting RAN protocols
- Specifying and interpreting Core Network protocols
- Specifying system-wide operation
- Specifying integration with external packet data networks
- Development specification writing including feature test documents
- Understanding, interpreting, and contributing to the 3GPP specifications
- Field and customer support when needed
Requirements for this role
- LTE Physical layer signal processing
- EPC System level knowledge
- Layer 1 experience in LTE
- Multiple Antenna techniques
- TX/RX architectures and algorithms
- Cellular radio analysis (coverage, link budget)
- Traffic modelling, scheduling
- Mobility procedures
- Knowledge of IP networks, IETF protocols
